Battle Tower Guide
Introduction
The Battle Tower returns in the Sinnoh remakes, with significantly improved trainers. The format is more or less unchanged – after every 7 consecutive victories, the player will be rewarded some battle points (BP). The higher your win streak, the more difficult enemy trainers will become, and the more BP you'll earn per set. Winning 49 in a row in the regular singles/doubles mode will unlock the masters tier, where the trainer will be pit against teams of fully EV trained Pokémon (including legendaries) with actual strategies.
The trainers have received significant buffs compared to the original Diamond/Pearl, both in terms of Pokémon quality and cheese level. Masters tier is crammed full of OHKO moves, Quick Claws, sleep spammers, evasion boosters, and the like. Without properly scouting your opponents team and playing accordingly, chaining together a high win streak is near impossible.
Rules
The two available formats are singles (3v3), and doubles (4v4). All Pokémon will be lowered to level 50, with their stats adjusted accordingly. Pokémon below level 50 will NOT be automatically brought up. Duplicate held items are also not allowed. Your lead Pokémon must remain the same for all 7 battles, but you can choose a different team after winning a set of 7.
There are some Pokémon that are banned from the Battle Tower, from both the player and the enemy trainers. In general these are the "main" legendaries for each of the 4 generations. For example from generation 4, Dialga/Palkia/Giratina are banned, but the lake trio and Regigigas are fair game. The full list of banned Pokémon is below.
There are no banned items or moves. Enjoy Minimize / Baton Pass and Quick Claw / Sheer Cold Walrein.
Rewards
The master tier has a total of 10 ranks, winning a set of 7 at a particular rank will result in a promotion to the next rank, along with a nice BP and Rare Candy and/or Nature Mint bonus. As you climb these ranks, you'll meet all of the Gym Leaders (ranks 1–8), Champion Cynthia (rank 9), and finally Tower Tycoon Palmer (rank 10) as the 7th trainer of their respective ranks. Losing a streak will not result in demoting to a lower rank. Upon hitting rank 10, every subsequent set of 7 will have Palmer as the 7th trainer, and winning a set will result in a hefty 35BP reward.
*** The following rewards tables are from my own memory, and likely contains a lot of errors (for example I know you get random Nature Mints at certain ranks, but I can't remember). If you're a data miner or currently playing through the Battle Tower and notice a mistake, please contact me so I can correct this. I haven't found this information on any other site. ***

Scouting Enemy Trainers
Once you hit Masters, it really is just cheese strategy after cheese strategy. I tried many times with many different teams to build up a high winstreak, and it was pretty much impossible without knowing what my opponents had in the back. That's literally the sole reason this site came to be, because I kept getting my ass kicked by the most random strategies. Please do yourself a favor and use the search tool to find what exact team your current enemy has. It's also useful for exploring the kinds of strategies that exist in the Battle Tower, so that you can construct a team around them.
Some may think that looking up your opponents Pokémon in a competitive environment is dishonest, but it can't be as dishonest as the RNJesus Substitute / Double Team / Sheer Cold Articuno waiting in the back. Every trainer has a way to screw you over, and their strategies only need to work once to end your streak. Take any advantage you can get.
Good luck trainer! May the OHKOs miss, and the Focus Bands not activate.
